Whats in my bag?

After humming and haring about weather to start my own blog for the past few years, I finally bought a fabulous handbag, took some photographs I’m fairly proud of, and took the plunge. A cheeky neb into somebodies handbag seems like a great way to get to know each other. I’ve always really enjoyed seeing other peoples ‘what’s in my bag’ posts, and so I thought this would be a lovely, traditional way to launch my blog. So, without further a due, these are the bits and bobs I like to carry around with me on a daily basis.

1/ The Bag & purse

The star of the show is my Michael Kors Kellen tote in the shade blossom. I picked this up when I went to New York this Feb, at the premium outlet mall. Unfortunately, I think its last season and so isn’t currently available on the Michael Kors site, but I love it anyway! The gorgeous baby pink colour is perfect for spring – I can’t wait to style it up with a feminine white dress on a sunny day. I accessorized it with a Scream Queens inspired white pom pom, which I picked up from Primark for a couple of quid. The purse is another Michael Kors piece, which I also picked up in New York. The colour isn’t the most practical for chucking in my bag, but the inside is super roomy, with tones of space for my cards and change.

I’m pretty minimal when it comes to lugging round my cosmetics, I don’t regularly reapply my make up so I tend to stick to lip products. My current favorites are my Nivea pearly shine balm, which keeps my lips super moisturized, and my indulgent YSL lipstick in shade 7. It’s a lovely pale pink hue, which just happens to match my bag.

As a sufferer of eczema, I have to keep a moisturizer on me, especially for my hands. Hand Food is great, as it doesn’t irritate my skin but has that classic soap and glory scent. Speaking of scent, I also like to carry a perfume and my current fragrance of choice is Marc Jacobs, Daisy. It’s a light and fresh scent for the summer months (I‘m sure you will have smelt it before). Last of all I like to keep a hand sanitizer, this is another one I picked up in the States, from Bath and Body works (along with the sensational Water Melon candle in the feature pic!). This is called ‘Berry Swirl’ and as the name suggests, it smells just like sweet berries.

3/ The Extras

Like everyone else, if my phone is not glued to my hand, it’s in my bag. I have an IPhone 6, and I got my geometric case, which features pale pink, wood, and marble prints, from EBay. With the sun shining in Newcastle (for a change) I get to carry my Ray Bans. These are an aviator design with blue ombre lenses and a gold rim; when I’m not wearing my glasses I like to protect them with the standard tan Ray Ban case. Finally, I also like to carry a little notebook; I picked this one up at TK Max. It is by the brand Tri-Costal, however I think the golden polka dot design is very Kate Spade Esk!

That’s everything! Thanks so much for sticking around to read my first post, I hope you’ll come back to read my next one.

  1. I always come back from the States with TONS of Bath and Bodyworks stuff – I love it! These little hand sanitises are always in my bag and, as I suffer from dry skin, I also always have Hand Food at home. I love the Soap and Glory range! I’m a hug fan of Benefit and the quality and packaging always reminds me of it.

    Great first post!
